Niffian: The Thirty-Six Word Language

So, have you ever wondered how many words English has? Estimates say somewhere around 1②②0 0000. (~171 thousand) Isn't that a tad... excessive? Native speakers of English get by with less than 30 0000 (~25 thousand), and there's services like Voice of America which use barely more than 1 1000 (1500).

To go down this rabbit hole, we have to resort to conlangs. A famous one is toki pona, at just 1③20 (120) words at its creation and 1②①① (137) after... questionable... updates. Though it's far from the only one in the genre of oligosynths ("synthesis of few").

However, what if you feel toki pona is simply not efficient enough? Do you really need a word for animal noise? Or fish? Or talk?

You don't need unexians (thousands) of words. Not even a whole unexian or tarumba (hundred-ish). All you need... is one nif. Or thirty six, if you're decimal brained.

Because it's silly. No further reason.

Short answer: absolutely ungodly amounts of compounding.

Long answer: [see the rest of this page.]

And that's the entire basic dictionary. It could easily fit within a quarter of a notebook page, if you summarize the meaning of each symbol. If you could learn toki pona in a dozen days, you can learn Niffian's vocab in four.

I've divided Niffian's grammar in 10 (6) easy lessons, as below:
